PHOTOGRAPHY

I hope you like the photos.

Adisham Woods (30 April 2023)
Photos taken on Huawei Y6 smartphone, from around Adisham, Kent, UK. (8 May 2020)
These three photos of a tree stump were taken in the woodland near Adisham, Kent, UK. (5 May 2020)

Nature Vs Man. Digital photos using Huawei Y6 smartphone. (May 2020).
What is this you may ask? Promise you wont tell anyone? Okay, then I'll tell you. It's an old rusty oil drum with so many holes in it even a grey squirrel will get wet hiding inside. It makes an interesting thing to photograph!

Picture
A dandelion. Photographed with Huawei Y6 smartphone. (2020)
A dandelion is just a weed in the wrong place. It appears at spring and is delicate and colourful. We don't need to plant flowers since God will plants us flowers anyway.

WW2 look-out above Samphire Hoe, Folkestone, on 35mm Nikon RF2 with Ilford HP5 black & white film. (2019)
On the cliffs above Smaphire Hoe (Folkestone, Kent) are old military buildings, that were no doubt used to keep an eye on Nazi ships and aircraft during WW2.

This image taken with Nikon RF2 compact camera with a Ilford  HP 5, black & white film. I printed onto Ilford black & white photo paper.  It was during the printing process I underexposed the printed image, by mistake, to create this interesting picture. Nice things appear by making mistakes.

Swale Estuary No 1. View to Oare from Shellness, Isle of Sheppy. Black & White Ilford HP5 film in Nikon F-601 with 200mm fixed lens. (April 2019)
I took a special trip out to Shellness (Isle of Sheppy, UK) to take some pictures, supported by a great friend and film maker @just_a_filmmaker.

It's a very special place. This photo was taken on April 7th 2019 around the season for migrating waders. It is a very remote place to get to but the trip is well worth it. The place has a very mystical atmosphere about it.  I love the island immensely. (If  you fancy a trip there, please can I catch a lift with you?)

Swale Estuary No 2. View to Oare from Shellness, Isle of Sheppy. Black & White Ilford HP5 film in Nikon F-601 with 200mm fixed lens. (April 2019)
I've already told you about the photo above but this one was taken to experiment with the 200mm fixed lens. Focusing on the coast in the distance you can see more detail of Oare and Faversham.

For me this was a really interesting perspective, which gives me a lot of pleasure to see it this way. I just love this place so so much!

More photos taken at Shellness, Isle of Sheppy, Kent, UK. (April 2019)

Dungeness Beach No 1. Ilford colour film in Nikon F-601 with 50mm lens. (April 2019)
Have you ever been to Dungeness (Kent, UK)? It is Britain's only desert with an incredibly interesting landscape. Maybe every serious photographer has been there. I believe this plant is one of several types of sea kale found at Dungeness. Many of the plants at Dungeness don't grow anywhere else.

Just (@just_a_filmmaker) and I were on Dungeness beach on 6 April 2019. Just was trying to teach me about photography and his advice went in one ear, got filtered a bit, and then left me out of my other ear. I guess I was just too excited to take all the advice in!  I did manage to take this photo.
